My Story
Hi everyone,
I’m Funmi, the Membership Liaison in the Roundhouse Member’s Bar. I try to make sure we all have the best time at a gig. Well on Saturday 7 June, the gig will actually be a 26 mile trek in the Chilterns…
I had originally thought this was only 10 miles! But I am still moving forward with the trek because the cause of supporting young creatives - is so important to me, as I know it is to all of you.
As a musician myself, I’m walking to support the next generation of diverse young creatives.
Know that I will be taking you all with me on this adventure! Please would you support me in donating whatever you can?
See you on the other side...probably with an ice pack 🙂
Over the last fifteen years, two thirds of council-run youth centres in England and Wales have closed. Meanwhile the Roundhouse have continued to invest in young people’s futures. Through creativity they develop young people both personally and professionally. When diverse young creatives face more barriers than ever before, Roundhouse remains a beacon of hope. Working with their industry connections, they’ve helped young people win awards, create films, start successful businesses and launch careers both on and off the stage.
Last year they engaged with a record 10,000 young people but they don’t want to stop there. I’m proud to support the Roundhouse and help grow their reach to 15,000. Please help me by donating to this page. Each step I take, and each pound I raise, will help Roundhouse upskill the next generation.
Thank you so much for visiting my page and for your generous support. If you would like to make a donation to the Roundhouse directly, please get in touch with developmentevents@roundhouse.org.uk
